Applications Integration Engineer (Information Systems Specialist 6)
The Department of Administrative Services (DAS) is the central administrative agency for the State of Oregon, focused on providing essential business services to support government operations. As an Applications Integration Engineer, you will provide IT application integration support and development for DAS and its client agencies, ensuring seamless integration between legacy and modern applications critical to state operations.

Responsibilities
Provide IT application integration support and application development to DAS and DAS client agencies
Design, support and maintain integrations and integration platforms that allow legacy applications to integrate seamlessly with modern applications
Support both new development and on-going maintenance of existing applications critical to conducting the business of the State of Oregon
Qualification
Required
Five (5) years of information systems experience in: Applications Integrations, .NET stack, automated integration tools such as Azure Integration Services and API protocols and schemas such as SOAP and REST; and utilizing programming languages such as C#, PowerShell, JavaScript, and Git; OR
An Associate's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, OR completion of a two (2) year accredited vocational training program in information technology or related field; AND three (3) years of information systems experience in: Applications Integrations, .NET stack, automated integration tools such as Azure Integration Services and API protocols and schemas such as SOAP and REST; and utilizing programming languages such as C#, PowerShell, JavaScript, and Git; OR
A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field AND one (1) year of information systems experience in: Applications Integrations, .NET stack, automated integration tools such as Azure Integration Services and API protocols and schemas such as SOAP and REST; and utilizing programming languages such as C#, PowerShell, JavaScript, and Git
Preferred
Experience with AAD (Azure Active Directory)
Experience developing CI/CD workflows and tools, application integrations supporting legacy applications and modernization efforts
Familiarity with a variety of SDLC principles and methodologies including Agile Development
Experience creating reports using SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services) and BI (business intelligence) tools
Experience with GitHub workflows in YAML
Experience with automation scripting
Strong customer service and communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical issues to non-technical customers and voice opinions with clear rationale based on data and factual evidence
Ability to troubleshoot problems and isolate the root cause and to propose permanent solutions with estimated work effort
Ability to establish and maintain effective and collaborative working relationships with members of leadership, co-workers, customers, other agencies, and the public
