Service Mechanic

The Service Mechanic will be responsible for the installation, troubleshooting, and repair of custom equipment packages, utilizing a diverse skill set including welding, fabrication, and mechanical assembly.

Responsibilities
Perform a variety of installation-related tasks under supervision, including routine work, troubleshooting, light maintenance, modifications, and repairs
Ensure installation work meets customer specifications and company standards on a daily basis
Utilize a range of technical skills including welding, fabrication, 12V electrical, hydraulics, assembly, and diagnostics
Operate tools and equipment such as hand plasma cutters, cutting torches, overhead cranes, power tools, and more
Remove old equipment and install new systems, including cutting, drilling, welding, and repositioning components on customer vehicles
Diagnose and repair issues related to hydraulic systems, 12V electrical components, valves, and cylinders
Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, inventory, and scrap reporting
Enter warranty findings and resolutions into the CAPA database for Tech Services
May assist in truck programming; training will be provided as needed
Organize work to ensure installations are completed efficiently and on time
Maintain proper inventory and supply levels to support installation efficiency
Follow all safety standards and perform preventative maintenance to reduce repair costs
Communicate effectively with customers during service visits to understand and resolve issues
Maintain a clean, orderly, and professional work area and appearance
Demonstrate courtesy, discretion, and sound judgment in public-facing interactions
Understand technical specifications and product accessories to assist customers with applications
Work to achieve error-free performance with strong attention to detail
Responsible for other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required

Ability to lift/push up to 50 lbs
Bending, lifting, and standing
Exposure to noise and weld and grinding smoke at times
Preferred
Basic shop math & ability to interpret work instructions, diagrams & blueprints
Hand dexterity and working knowledge of hand tools
Must be willing to work in a team environment
Previous experience in manufacturing setting
Familiarity with weld, assembly processes
Technical degree helpful and/or specialty certifications (i.e., welding, 12V electrical, hydraulics), not required
