Responsibilities

Perform routine preventive maintenance on Crown forklifts, electric pallet jacks, and material handling equipment
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues using diagnostic tools and equipment
Conduct repairs on hydraulic systems, electrical components, and safety systems
Maintain detailed service records and documentation in computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) to support client’s quality standards
Inspect equipment for safety compliance and perform required safety certifications in healthcare distribution environment
Order and maintain inventory of parts, fluids, and supplies needed for equipment maintenance
Respond to emergency breakdown calls and perform urgent repairs to minimize downtime in critical healthcare supply operations
Collaborate with warehouse operations team to schedule maintenance during optimal times without disrupting healthcare product flow
Conduct pre-delivery inspections on new or refurbished equipment
Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, FDA requirements, and manufacturer safety standards
Maintain clean and organized work area adhering to clients housekeeping, cleanliness and contamination prevention protocols

Required

3+ years of experience in forklift maintenance and repair in a regulated industry environment
Valid forklift technician certification or equivalent mechanical certification
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams
Proficiency with diagnostic tools, multimeters, and standard mechanical tools
Valid driver's license with clean driving record
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in various positions (standing, kneeling, lying down)
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Excellent attention to detail and safety consciousness critical in healthcare supply chain environment
Microsoft office computer skills for documentation and parts ordering
Ability to work in temperature-controlled environments and follow strict cleanliness protocols

Preferred

Knowledge of warehouse management systems and CMMS software
Previous experience in healthcare supply chain distribution, or regulated industry environment
OSHA 10 or 30-hour certification
Understanding of FDA regulations and Good Distribution Practices (GDP)
Experience with specialized equipment for temperature-sensitive healthcare products
