Assistant Controller

Intangible Assets, LLC is seeking an Assistant Controller to lead their accounting team while managing core financial functions. The role involves overseeing cost accounting, financial reporting, and process optimization to enhance operational efficiency and compliance with standards.

Management Consulting

Responsibilities

Provide day‑to‑day direction and coaching to the accounting team, promoting accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement
Manage the department’s core functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger activities
Support staff development through regular feedback, training, and performance evaluations
Oversee product costing, inventory valuation, and analysis of manufacturing variances
Work closely with operations and supply chain to maintain accurate cost data and reporting
Lead efforts to strengthen cost controls, improve inventory accuracy, and enhance margin visibility
Ensure timely and accurate reconciliations related to cost and inventory
Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
Maintain adherence to GAAP and internal control standards
Coordinate with external auditors and assist with tax and regulatory requirements
Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve data accuracy
Partner with cross‑functional teams to enhance workflows and reporting capabilities
Lead ERP enhancements, upgrades, and automation initiatives to support scalability
Assist with cash flow forecasting, banking activities, and treasury operations
Monitor working capital needs and support liquidity planning
Help ensure compliance with debt covenants and treasury policies

Required

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance
At least 5 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in manufacturing
Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience
Strong background in cost accounting and inventory processes
Skilled in ERP systems (Syteline/Infor CSI, SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and advanced Excel
Strong analytical, communication, and organizational abilities

Preferred

Experience with cash flow or treasury functions is beneficial
