3+ years expRLink Solutions is seeking an experienced Localization Engineer to address Uber's expanding localization requirements. In this role, you will collaborate closely with Localization Program Managers and Localization Operations to prepare projects and programs for localization effectively.

Responsibilities
Collaborate closely with Localization Program Managers (LPgMs) and Localization Operations (LocOps) to prepare projects and programs for localization
Manage and run linguistic QA processes, identifying issues/gaps, and ensuring high-quality deliverables
Coordinate the localization of various content types, including UI, Help Center, Marketing, and Legal
Manage post-delivery automation tasks as needed (file counts, naming conventions, encoding, etc.)
Experience using tools such as JIRA and Phabricator for bug routing and ticket management
Set up localization pipelines & workflows using CAT tools (e.g., Phrase/Memsource, Smartling, Trados)
Work with audio and multimedia projects and set up localization/delivery processes
Qualification
Required
BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience
Minimum of 3 years of localization engineering experience in the high-tech industry, either on the client or vendor side
At least 1 year of experience in machine learning and/or proficiency in programming languages such as Python, with hands-on experience in relevant libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Hugging Face Transformers)
Basic knowledge of AWS, GCP, or Azure
Familiarity with technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, and Jupyter Notebook
Understanding of scripts such as Python, Perl, or JavaScript
Expertise in using CAT tools and setting up localization pipelines & workflows (e.g., Phrase/Memsource, Smartling, Trados)
Experience working with audio and multimedia projects and setting up localization/delivery processes
Managing post-delivery automation tasks as needed (file counts, naming conventions, encoding, etc.)
Experience using tools such as JIRA and Phabricator
Experience in coordinating the localization of various content types, including UI, Help Center, Marketing, and Legal
Managing and running linguistic QA processes, identifying issues/gaps, and ensuring high-quality deliverables
Very detail-oriented and quality-focused, with a proactive approach to identifying issues
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and localization quality assurance (LQA) tasks simultaneously
Excellent team player with the ability to manage operations at scale
Capable of managing technical processes and advising on best practices for internationalization (i18n) and localization (l10n) QA/testing
Ability to learn new tools and systems quickly
