Water and Wastewater Engineer
The Town of Ipswich is looking for a talented and motivated Water & Wastewater Engineer to join our Water & Wastewater Departments in a full-time, exempt role. In this role, you’ll support the operation, maintenance, and improvement of Ipswich’s municipal water and wastewater facilities and infrastructure—playing a key role in projects that truly make a difference every day.

Qualification
Required
Bachelor of Science in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, or related Engineering
5–10 years of relevant experience
Strong knowledge of: Water treatment, distribution, and conservation
Strong knowledge of: Wastewater treatment and collection systems
Proven success managing water and wastewater projects
Ability to analyze complex issues and develop practical, effective solutions
Comfortable juggling projects and meeting occasional tight deadlines
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with staff, officials, and the public
Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheets, GIS, hydraulic modeling, and related technologies
Self-starter who works well independently with minimal supervision
Preferred
Municipal water and wastewater experience strongly preferred
Water and wastewater treatment licensing a plus
