Quality Assurance IT Analyst II (Internal Hennepin County applicants only)
NEOGOV is seeking a Quality Assurance IT Analyst II to join Hennepin County's Law, Safety, and Justice division. This role involves partnering with public safety businesses and IT partners to develop innovative solutions for data sharing needs and business processes, along with testing software and creating automated tests across applications.

Responsibilities
Perform quality assurance work including unit and end-to-end testing and participate in user acceptance testing sessions for complex applications and integrations
Develop effective test plans (both manual and automated) for existing and new applications by partnering with developers, business analysts, and customers as needed
Documentation of all software testing results and repeatable test plans for projects
Communicate using strong written and verbal communication skills to both technical and non-technical people
Participate in development and deployment teams in both agile and traditional waterfall environments
Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and other IT partners to resolve complex and critical issues
Establish effective working relationships with other information technology staff and users
Qualification
Required
Five years or more of information technology experience
Completion of five college/vocational/technical technology courses or approved IT Hennepin County internship and three years or more of IT experience
Associate's/vocational/technical degree in computer science, management information systems (MIS), information technology or an approved information technology field related to the position and three years or more of IT experience
Bachelor's degree or higher in one of the above fields and one year or more IT experience
Knowledge of software development concepts and practices (Agile and Waterfall), testing methodologies
Ability to test across back-end, middle-tier, and presentation layers
Experience with automated testing tools or frameworks such as SOA Test, WAVE, Selenium, and/or Cucumber
Strong written and verbal communication skills to both technical and non-technical people
Ability to collaborate with business analysts, developers, and other IT partners to resolve complex and critical issues
Ability to establish effective working relationships with other information technology staff and users
Preferred
Experience creating test plans and applying test-driven or behavior-driven development concepts
Experience writing and executing automated tests using relevant tools, scripts, or languages
Experience working within agile teams or agile frameworks
Experience using SQL in the context of testing, quality assurance/control, or data analysis
Knowledge of Agile framework and ceremonies
Knowledge of behavior and test-driven development practices
Knowledge of Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance policies
Ability to build relationships and promote collaboration on complex teams
Ability to balance multiple work streams and/or projects to meet team needs
Ability to understand Hennepin County IT practices and processes
