Manager - Financial Due Diligence (FDD)

DPO&Co is a boutique M&A consulting and private investing firm serving private equity sponsors and founder-led businesses across the deal lifecycle. The Manager - Financial Due Diligence will lead financial due diligence engagements, oversee multiple projects, drive business development, and mentor junior team members, ensuring high-quality deliverables and client satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Lead financial due diligence engagements ranging from $20M to $400M EV for private equity and corporate clients, overseeing the process from initial scoping to final delivery
Oversee multiple concurrent projects and teams, ensuring that timelines, budgets, and quality standards are consistently met
Drive business development and client relationship management, leveraging your network and experience to identify and pursue new opportunities
Shape engagement and deal strategy and execution, applying a deep understanding of client objectives and industry dynamics
Coach and develop junior and mid-level team members, fostering their technical skills, client presence, and leadership abilities
Serve as interim finance leadership (e.g., CFO, Controller, FP&A lead) during integrations, standups, and standalone engagements
Contribute to strategic and operational portco projects, including dashboarding, process improvement, and post-close execution
Gain exposure to tax diligence, purchase accounting, post-close reconciliations, and more
Lead strategy and operations consulting engagements
Own delivery of multiple FDD and other CFO Services engagements from scoping to completion, including developing work plans, managing resources, and ensuring high-quality deliverables
Manage engagement economics, quality, and client satisfaction, tracking progress against budgets and proactively addressing risks or issues
Lead key client presentations and negotiations, clearly articulating findings and their implications for deal terms and valuation
Mentor and train Associates, Senior Analysts, and Analysts, providing both project-specific guidance and career development support
Build or review LBO models and valuation bridges to support client negotiations and IC materials
Lead post-close activities, including opening B/S setup, ASC 805 entries, and reporting processes

Required

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
6–9 years of relevant M&A or financial advisory experience, including significant exposure to private equity transactions and operational diligence
Proven ability to lead teams and manage client relationships, with a track record of delivering complex engagements on time and on budget
Advanced technical and analytical skills, including expertise in financial modeling, transaction structuring, and US GAAP/IFRS
Strong business development acumen and experience with proposals and relationship building

Preferred

Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
CPA, CA, or CFA preferred or in progress
