Responsibilities

Design, develop, code, and test planned software tool enhancements in collaboration with the Technical Specialist
Follow change control processes to ensure approved modifications are properly implemented
Provide global user support via phone, email, Webex, instant messaging, and one-on-one interactions
Manage user accounts, including creation, maintenance, and access controls
Contribute to the development and delivery of training materials for Ford’s global user community
Document software changes in user manuals and other relevant media
Participate in User Forum meetings to gather feedback and drive continuous improvement

Required

Strong expertise in C programming language, preferably in an embedded control systems environment
Proficiency in C language concepts: data structures, pointers, bit manipulation, file handling, hash tables, and recursion
Hands-on experience developing applications in a Unix environment, including tools such as make, makefiles, gdb, bash, setuid, and process fork
Experience developing Graphical User Interfaces (GUIs) in a Unix environment
Knowledge of Postgres database development, including table creation and integration
Familiarity with configuration management tools, Jira issue tracking, and Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to support a global user base
