Samsill Corporation is seeking a Senior Equipment Technician who will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing complex manufacturing and facility equipment. This role serves as a technical expert, providing guidance to junior technicians and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across operations.

Responsibilities

Perform advanced preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on production and facility equipment
Troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and control system issues
Act as escalation support for critical equipment failures and lead root cause analysis
Install, qualify, and support new equipment and upgrades
Develop, review, and improve maintenance procedures, SOPs, and work instructions
Mentor and train technicians and equipment operators
Collaborate with Engineering, Production, Quality, and EHS teams
Monitor equipment performance and downtime; recommend reliability improvements
Manage spare parts, tooling, and maintenance documentation within CMMS
Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards

Required

Associate degree, technical diploma, or equivalent experience in Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, or related field
5+ years of experience in equipment maintenance within a manufacturing environment
5+ years of experience PLC, automation and/or electrical
Strong mechanical, electrical and PLC troubleshooting skills
Ability to read electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and P&IDs
Experience with PLCs, HMIs, robotics, or automation systems
Familiarity with CMMS and maintenance best practices
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Leadership and mentoring skills
Effective communication and teamwork
Ability to work independently and manage priorities
Ability to work flexible hours during peak season (May-September)

Preferred

Experience supporting automated or high-precision equipment
