The City of New York is seeking Summer College Interns for their Summer Internship Program, which offers students the chance to gain experience in architecture, engineering, design, safety, and construction management. Interns will assist with various tasks related to construction payment requisitions, contract reviews, and labor compliance while gaining hands-on experience through field visits and mentorship.

Responsibilities

Assist with the review of construction payment requisitions and change orders by examining supporting documentation and backup materials under supervision

Assist with the review of contract documents, including construction drawings, technical specifications, and consultant agreements, to support audit activities

Support prevailing wage and labor compliance reviews by assisting with the review of certified payroll records and related documentation

Participate in field visits with Engineering Auditors to active construction sites to observe work in progress and gain exposure to public construction projects

Perform general administrative and analytical support tasks, including organizing files, tracking review comments, and assisting with data entry and documentation

As of June of the Program year the prospective intern must be a student matriculated in a college or be a recent college graduate (winter/spring term of the Program year)
