Specialties Company is seeking an Estimator/Project Manager for their Fencing Division. This role is responsible for overseeing projects from bid through completion, ensuring accuracy in estimating, efficiency in project delivery, and quality in field performance.

Responsibilities

Develop, maintain, and strengthen relationships with existing clients while pursuing new business opportunities in the fencing market (commercial, industrial, and municipal)

Prepare detailed quantity takeoffs, cost estimates, and project proposals

Solicit and evaluate quotes from subcontractors and material suppliers

Coordinate project activities with field superintendents and crews to ensure smooth scheduling and execution

Manage awarded projects, including pre-construction meetings, material procurement, scheduling, and change orders

Support contract administration and billing processes, including documentation and cost tracking

Ensure all work complies with company standards, specifications, and safety requirements

Required

Minimum of 2 years of experience estimating and managing construction projects, preferably in fencing, guardrail, or other specialty contracting

Strong understanding of construction methods, specifications, and industry standards (INDOT or municipal experience preferred)

Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Project, and digital takeoff or estimating software

Self-starter with the ability to manage time effectively and handle multiple priorities

Excellent communication and customer service skills, both written and verbal

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Valid Driver License

Requires Pre-employment Drug Screen

Preferred

Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred

Equivalent experience in estimating and project management will be considered
