They are seeking a Senior Analyst - Legal Operations to join their Legal Operations team, focusing on spend management initiatives and supporting analysis of workflows to drive smarter decision-making regarding outside counsel costs.

Responsibilities

Pull together and analyze spend data to identify trends, savings opportunities, and data quality issues
Support an analysis of current workflows to identify cost avoidance opportunities, including outsourcing and technology implementation
Document processes and recommend ways to improve how we manage and track spend
Connect spend management recommendations to engagement strategy for outside counsel and other legal vendors

Qualification

Data analysisLegal spend managementExcelBusiness intelligence toolsOrganizational skillsCommunication skills

Required

3+ years' experience as a business analyst/business consultant or similar finance/operations analytical roles
Strong comfort with data (Excel, BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, etc.)
Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage competing priorities
Comfortable working cross-functionally and communicating insights clearly
Bachelor's degree required or comparable years of experience in an operational role

Preferred

Experience working and communicating with legal departments and/or law firms
Experience in supporting strategic, technology, or operational improvements to an organization
Some background in legal operations, experience in outside counsel or legal spend management
Experience with leading legal operations systems (e.g., e-billing, contract management, e-signature) and/or business intelligence and reporting tools
Familiarity with artificial intelligence and automation
Prior experience with eBilling systems
