0+ years expNEOGOV is seeking a dedicated Utility Maintenance Specialist to join the City of Baytown team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining essential utility systems, including plumbing, electrical, and HVAC.

Responsibilities
Repairs, replaces, and installs water lines, valves, air releases, and sewer lines. Installs and replaces old water and sewer lines. Makes water and sewer taps, installs manholes and fire hydrants and performs maintenance and repairs
Operates utility/dump truck, compressor, hydraulic hammer, gopher, tapping machine, water pump, boring machine, pipe bevel machine, and other machinery
Constructs buildings and performs carpentry work such as remodeling, building cabinets, fences, and offices
Performs all other related duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record (must obtain TX driver's license within 90 days)
Possess valid Class 'A' Texas Commercial Driver's License with the endorsements of air brakes, cargo, and combination within six months of date in position
Ability to pass all pre-employment qualifications
Little or no experience
Six month's experience
Pass entry-level tests and or qualifications (refer to the Manual of Verification Standards)
Complete one of the required TEEX courses (20 hours) needed for TCEQ Licenses
One year experience
Pass all previous levels tests and or qualifications (refer to the Manual of Verification Standards)
Complete one of the additional required TEEX courses (20 hours) needed for TCEQ Licenses
Eighteen month's experience
Complete two of the additional required TEEX courses (40 hours) needed for TCEQ Licenses
Two plus year's experience
