Responsibilities
Technicians will work a 12 hour 4334 shift on either Front Half or Back Half of the week
Create and maintain documentation on technologies you support
Effectively pass down knowledge of these technologies to junior staff
Take on remote system administration tasks working in a virtual team
Automate tasks with scripts when necessary
Work autonomously to resolve most support issues
Execute small projects on your own and work with your manager in planning and executing larger local projects
Act as the initial escalation point for junior technicians
Understand all aspects of the equipment you support
Innovate and make decisions on your own but also know how to take direction when it is given
Qualification
Required
Enterprise level physical host hardware troubleshooting
Layer 1&2 network troubleshooting skills
Experience handling, running and troubleshooting fiber
Basic to intermediate system administration skills
Ability to automate tasks with scripts when necessary
Ability to work autonomously to resolve most support issues
Ability to execute small projects on your own
Ability to work with your manager in planning and executing larger local projects
Ability to act as the initial escalation point for junior technicians
Understanding of all aspects of the equipment you support
Ability to innovate and make decisions on your own
Ability to take direction when given and pay attention to all details involved
