STEM Talent Solutions is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design and develop HVAC systems. The role involves creating detailed construction documents, performing load calculations, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Staffing & Recruiting

Responsibilities

Design HVAC systems including:

Chilled water, hot water, and steam systems

Central plant and distributed hydronic systems

Air handling units (AHUs), DOAS, VAV, CAV, and terminal units

Critical and process air handling systems

Heating and cooling equipment, including boilers, chillers, heat exchangers, pumps, and associated controls

Perform heating and cooling load calculations, energy modeling inputs, equipment sizing, and system selection

Develop system concepts from schematic design through construction documentation

Evaluate alternative system approaches and provide recommendations based on performance, constructability, energy efficiency, and lifecycle cost

Independently produce complete, coordinated construction documents including:

Plans, sections, schedules, and details

Piping and ductwork layouts

Equipment layouts and connection details

Control schematics and sequences of operation

Prepare detailed HVAC specifications aligned with project requirements and industry standards

Ensure drawings are fully coordinated with architectural, structural, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and process systems
