This entry-level position provides an opportunity for the intern to learn about City Planning and municipal government functions while assisting with various projects and duties within the department.

Responsibilities

Assist with the implementation and promotion of projects related to the City’s Work Plan

Assist with drafting reports, memorandums, and presentations to advance the Planning & Building Department and City Council priorities

Undertake research projects to assist with the development or advancement of priority program

Fosters a positive and supportive work environment; promotes equity and inclusion in the workplace, contributing to an environment of respectful living and working in a multicultural society

Performs functions as assigned in the City’s emergency response plan in the event of an emergency

Perform other duties as needed in support of the Planning & Building Department
