Responsibilities

Design and develop fixtures to support testing of quartz crystal resonator-based oscillators and other frequency and timing products
Create schematics to document fixture designs
Develop PCB layout and assembly drawings to support fixture fabrication
Assemble test systems on work benches and in environmental chambers
Troubleshoot (component level) and repair test systems, test fixtures and equipment
Plan and prioritize work for fixture assembly operator(s)
Provide Operations Lead support for New Product Introduction (NPI) activities
Create items, BOMs, and document numbers in PLM and ERP system
Obtain quotes and place purchase requisitions for materials
Adhere to all safety protocol and use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
Maintain a neat and organized work area

Required

Experience using PCB layout software such as Altium or Mentor Graphics
Proficiency in soldering surface mount and thru-hole components to PCB's
Working knowledge of electronic design and principles
Extensive knowledge and use of electronic equipment to include oscilloscopes, frequency counters, power supplies, multimeters, multiplexers, interfaces, GPIB, CAT 5, and environmental chambers
Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, twist, sit or lie down while working with tools and equipment
Proficient use of hand tools such as micrometers, calipers, crimpers, nippers, torque drivers, soldering irons, hot air tools, etc
Good mechanical aptitude
Ability to read and interpret drawings and work instructions
Proficiently in Excel, Word and general computer use
2 year vocational or technical degree plus 5 years' experience supporting and maintaining electronic equipment and test systems, or equivalent combination of education and experience

Preferred

Experience developing test fixtures for electronic systems
Electronics design background and experience
Experience using Agile PLM and Microsoft AX Dynamics
Electronics assembly experience, specifically with frequency and timing devices and systems
