Responsibilities
Lead full-lifecycle commissioning projects for mission-critical facilities, including Levels 1 through 5 commissioning
Develop, manage, and execute detailed commissioning schedules, plans, and test scripts tailored to each client and facility
Collaborate closely with design engineers, general contractors, equipment vendors, and client stakeholders to ensure readiness and alignment
Conduct site acceptance testing (SAT), integrated systems testing (IST), and factory witness testing (FWT)
Oversee commissioning of all core systems: mechanical (HVAC), electrical, plumbing (MEP), controls, fire/life safety, and security systems
Validate that installations meet design intent, operational requirements, and regulatory compliance benchmarks
Identify risks and deficiencies early in the commissioning process, leading resolution efforts to ensure on-time delivery
Review and approve technical documentation including reports, punch lists, and turnover packages
Provide operational readiness support including client training, systems documentation, and post-commissioning services
Serve as a mentor to junior commissioning staff and contribute to internal process improvement
Qualification
Required
Over 7 years of expertise in delivering commissioning services for data centers and other vital infrastructure environments
Strong expertise in mechanical and electrical systems, including complex power distribution and cooling architectures
Experience executing integrated systems testing and phased commissioning projects
Proficient with interpreting and reviewing engineering plans, specifications, and submittals
Excellent communication skills and comfort working in dynamic, cross-functional teams
Willingness and ability to travel to project sites nationwide (up to 100%)
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Systems Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (or equivalent hands-on experience)
Professional certification such as CxA, CCP, or similar commissioning credential
Experience supporting colocation, hyperscale, or enterprise-grade data centers
Well-versed in industry standards, including ASHRAE, IEEE, NFPA, and Uptime Institute guidelines, as well as relevant building codes
Strong documentation and reporting capabilities using industry-standard tools
