The City of New York is seeking interns for their Summer Internship Program within the Department of Design and Construction. This program offers students hands-on experience in architecture, engineering, design, safety, and construction management, while supporting project controls through data analytics and document management.

Responsibilities

Work with data and documents for construction projects in and around New York City including document management and data analytics

Using tools like PowerBI (for building dashboards and performing quick descriptive statistics), python (to build machine learning/AI solutions), & Azure based tools to automate tasks and data flows (e.g. synapse pipelines and logic apps)

Required

Currently enrolled in a graduate degree program in an accredited college, university or law school

Authorization to work in the United States

Preferred

Graduate students who hold an undergraduate degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or any other STEM field involving use of Data & Statistics

Competency with Python, SQL, Data Visualization Tools, and Concepts of Machine Learning

Experience or knowledge in the construction domain
