UI Frontend Engineer - Software Engineer III
JPMorganChase is a leading financial services firm, and they are seeking a Software Engineer III to join their Consumer and Community Banking, Authentication Team. Responsibilities
Executes software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
Creates secure and high-quality production code and maintains algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems
Produces architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while being accountable for ensuring design constraints are met by software code development
Gathers, analyzes, synthesizes, and develops visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets in service of continuous improvement of software applications and systems
Proactively identifies hidden problems and patterns in data and uses these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture
Contributes to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies
Adds to team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect
Qualification
Required
Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience
Strong coding skills in React and TypeScript, with a focus on building responsive and user-friendly interfaces. Familiarity with state management libraries (e.g., Redux, Context API, Zustand)
Build responsive and adaptive web applications with HTML5, CSS3, and preprocessors (SASS/LESS)
Collaborate using modern build tools (Webpack, Babel, npm/yarn) and version control systems (Git)
Write unit and integration tests (Jest, React Testing Library)
Maintain code quality using tools like ESLint and Prettier
Solid understanding of user interface design principles and best practices, ensuring a seamless user experience during login, authentication, and password management processes
Comprehensive knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), with a focus on front-end development processes
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including UX designers and backend developers, to deliver high-quality UI solutions that enhance user authentication experiences
Preferred
Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+)
Familiarity with component-based architecture
Knowledge of responsive design and accessibility best practices
Exposure to cloud technologies (AWS) is a plus
