Executive Director, Business Development and Strategy
Gateway Health Partners is the largest independent provider of rebates and formulary management services in the United States, seeking an Executive Director for Business Development and Strategy. This role is responsible for driving strategic growth through the development and execution of comprehensive business development plans, leveraging industry relationships, and positioning the organization as a market leader.
Responsibilities
Lead Growth Initiatives: Define and execute targeted sales strategies; generate leads and convert opportunities
Client Engagement: Deliver impactful presentations, proposals, and thought leadership at industry events
Sales Cycle Management: Oversee complex negotiations, ensure compliance, and secure agreements
Market Intelligence & Financial Strategy: Perform analyses, build financial models, and implement cost-improvement strategies
Product Development Leadership: Drive new product strategies, manage development processes, and create value propositions
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with internal teams to deliver seamless execution and client satisfaction
Compliance & Ethics: Uphold organizational standards and regulatory requirements
Travel: As needed to support business objectives
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree required with a minimum of 8+ years of progressive experience in pharmacy benefit management (PBM), health plan, health system, or TPA sales
Proven accountability for delivering business results and driving revenue growth in complex healthcare environments
Extensive expertise in the healthcare industry, with a proven track record of designing and executing strategic sales plans that drive growth
Demonstrated success in generating new business with a strong focus on pharmacy and medical rebates, PBM market dynamics, and delivering high-impact consulting solutions
Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills to influence at all levels
Proven ability to lead client engagement, manage expectations, and build strong relationships internally and externally
Highly organized, self-starter with strong prioritization and workflow management
Expertise in collaboration, negotiation, data analysis and advanced technology
