Responsibilities

Oversee and manage wet utility construction projects involving deep excavation and large-diameter pipelines
Coordinate daily field operations, subcontractors, and project crews
Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, excavation standards, and shoring requirements
Review and interpret civil construction plans, specifications, and geotechnical reports
Monitor progress, cost controls, schedules, and project documentation
Collaborate with engineers, project managers, inspectors, and clients
Troubleshoot onsite challenges and implement effective solutions

Required

5+ years of experience in heavy civil construction or underground utility work
Proven experience with some of the following: Deep trenching (20+ feet preferred), Shoring systems (hydraulic, slide rail, beam & plate, etc.), Installation of large-diameter pipe (storm, sanitary, water), Dewatering systems and groundwater management, Mechanical/ process piping for W/WWTPs, Structural concrete for W/ WWTPs
Strong understanding of OSHA standards related to excavation and confined spaces
Experience managing crews, subcontractors, and large-scale field operations
Valid Oregon Contractor License (or the ability to obtain one)
Strong knowledge of civil and utility construction methods and equipment
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and project plans
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
Valid driver's license and clean driving record
