Field Technician
Phoenix Service Partners, LLC is seeking a Field Technician to provide exceptional service and ensure the optimal operation of compression equipment. The role involves performing diagnostic and repair tasks, maintaining equipment, and providing 24/7 callout coverage while adhering to safety protocols.

Responsibilities
Field technician responsible for the operation of compression equipment
Has diagnostic and repair skills
Assists other field positions
Performs job activities in a manner consistent with Phoenix’s procedures, goals and objectives
Utilizes and grows troubleshooting skillset to handle issues that arise on the job
Attends and participates in all EHS meetings and adheres to all EHS policies and procedures
Analyzes the job, parts and supply inventory requirements to effectively communicate needs with ops support
Maintains customer relationships
Take all corrective actions, with assistance, if necessary, to ensure 98%+ runtime of compression equipment
Maintains assigned compression equipment in a clean and presentable condition
Completes reports and actions required by the area’s operating procedures
Provides 24/7/365 callout coverage on all assigned compression equipment
Works overtime, if applicable, and is available for on-call rotations
Overtime and on-call requirements include work after regular work hours, weekends and holidays
Additional tasks as assigned
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent is required
Has diagnostic and repair skills
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English is required
Valid driver's license, with motor vehicle record (MVR) within the acceptable parameters of Phoenix's policy is required
Ability to operate heavy equipment
Ability to stand for up to 75% of the time
Ability to sit for up to 25% of the time
Ability to climb ladders or stairs for inspecting, repairing, and/or painting compression equipment
Ability to maintain balance on stairs and/or ladders without assistance
Ability to frequently lift at least 10 pounds and infrequent lifting of greater than 50 pounds
High noise environment (>85dbA) will occur with ear protection
Potential for exposure to hazardous chemicals
Ability to work in outdoor conditions, including extreme heat and extreme cold
Ability to maintain different positions, including stooping, kneeling, crouching and crawling to accomplish tasks in various environments, including confined spaces
Ability to type and use computers and other office equipment such as a copier, printer, calendar, telephone, etc
Personal protective equipment (PPE), including fire-retardant clothing, hard hats, face shields, hearing protection, safety glasses, gas monitors and steel-toed boots are required
Preferred
OEM, trade school or comparable work experience in a related field or industry is preferred
Successful completion of Phoenix's Short Service Employee (SSE) program
Has knowledge and/or experience with gas processes, compression equipment, motor engines or compressors (Caterpillar, Ariel, etc.)
At least 1 year of training in compression processes, or production or equipment related experience and/or training
Electrical troubleshooting skills
Main competencies: strong mechanical aptitude, teamwork, effective communicator, analytical capability, self-motivator, work ethic, planning and problem solving, and customer service focus
Working knowledge of relevant EHS policies and procedures
Experience with Microsoft office suite (excel, word, outlook)
