Responsibilities
Conduct research to improve the efficiency, of existing trading signals
Design and develop new systematic signals trading futures and FX markets that diversify current production strategies across style, alpha source, and market exposure
Create and refine portfolio construction and optimization frameworks aimed at maximizing performance while managing risk, drawdowns, and transaction costs
Improve the scalability and adaptability of portfolios to support customized investment objectives for clients
Adhere to disciplined research and development practices to minimize discrepancies between backtested results and live trading performance
Collaborate closely within a research team, leveraging shared development tools to ensure research is robustly implemented and transitioned into production trading systems
Partner cross-functionally with technology, operations, trading, marketing, and accounting teams to ensure ideas, both existing and proposed, are implemented, monitored, and executed accurately and efficiently
Present research insights, results, and investment ideas on a regular basis to senior management and the investment committee
Support additional initiatives and projects as directed by senior leadership
Qualification
Required
PhD or MS in a quantitative discipline
7+ years of professional experience in systematic futures and/or FX trading within a buy-side environment
Strong understanding of securities and derivatives markets and the investment process, with experience in mid- to low-frequency systematic strategies
Advanced programming expertise in languages commonly used for quantitative research and strategy development
Ability to distill complex quantitative concepts into clear, well-structured written analysis
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred
Prior experience leading or managing a team of quantitative researchers is a plus
