Triconex SIS Technical Project Manager

This role involves overseeing the entire project lifecycle, ensuring safe and timely delivery of solutions while managing collaboration between engineering teams, customers, and vendors.

Responsibilities
Lead the planning, execution, and successful delivery of multiple SIS projects simultaneously, ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, and budget
Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, including resource allocation, risk management, and communication strategies
Oversee all project phases, from front-end engineering design (FEED) and detailed design to factory acceptance testing (FAT), site acceptance testing (SAT), and commissioning
Ensure project deliverables meet Schneider Electric’s rigorous quality standards and comply with industry safety standards (e.g., IEC 61508, IEC 61511)
Serve as the primary technical authority on Triconex systems and SIS applications for both internal teams and customers
Provide technical guidance and oversight throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring solutions are designed and implemented to meet customer safety requirements
Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, building strong relationships based on trust, transparency, and technical credibility
Manage customer expectations, providing regular project updates, performance reporting, and proactive communication
Collaborate with sales and business development teams to support pre-sales activities, including scope definition, effort estimation, and technical presentations
Coordinate with third-party vendors and subcontractors to ensure seamless integration and project delivery
Lead and mentor a team of project engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement
Oversee daily project operations, ensuring high performance, quality, and timely delivery of engineering deliverables
Manage project resource assignments, ensuring the right skills are matched to project needs
Drive continuous improvement in our project delivery processes and methodologies
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Chemical, or Mechanical), Computer Science, or a related technical field
Minimum of 8 years of experience in Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS), industrial automation, or process control, with a significant focus on the oil & gas, chemical, or refining industries
Proven track record in project management, leading complex technical projects from initiation to completion
Deep technical expertise in safety PLCs, with a strong preference for Schneider Electric's Triconex platform (Tricon, Trident, Tri-GP)
Strong understanding of industry safety standards, including IEC 61508 and IEC 61511
Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
Preferred
PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is highly recommended
TÜV Rheinland Functional Safety Engineer certification (or equivalent)
Master's degree in Engineering or Business Administration (MBA)
Experience with other SIS platforms (e.g., HIMA, Honeywell Safety Manager) is a plus
Familiarity with Schneider Electric's EcoStruxure platform and related control systems
Experience with Agile or hybrid project management methodologies
