Responsibilities

Provides direct supervision to 3-8 staff in the program
Participates in the development of unit policies and procedures ensuring compliance with all applicable standards
Responsible for monthly staff meetings and providing reports to support billable services
Complete chart audits once a month for your team and provide coaching as needed
Coordinates staff schedules, provides necessary training and supervision in order to ensure adequate coverage and quality of services
Monitors staff performance and prepares reports
May be required to perform client services
Supervises and evaluates the work of team members, completes a variety of reports, and participates in the overall management of the program
Work is performed in collaboration and conjunction with other program coordinators
May include community outreach
Provides training/guidance to staff regarding accreditation requirements including performance contracts and Texas Administrative Codes relevant to the unit
Maintains records in accordance with all applicable standards
Establishes relationships and communicates with clients, caseworkers, family members, and other staff
Assists with developing and implementing policies and procedures
Attends and conducts staff meetings and/or training as assigned
Participates in audits of assigned unit
Stays knowledgeable of standards pertaining to services delivered
Work in collaboration with staff for all program needs and requirements
Attends work regularly and punctually in order to provide reliable and consistent coverage in area of responsibility
Interacts with clients in an emotionally supportive and/or therapeutic manner in order to provide an environment of caring, dignity, and respect
Works harmoniously with fellow employees, supervisors, family, and friends of persons served, and the public in order to create an environment of caring, dignity and respect, and that allows for the accomplishment of the Center's mission
Utilizes work time effectively to insure that all assignments are completed in a thorough and timely manner
Abides by all Center policies and procedures regarding training objectives and requirements including those that relate to safety and infectious disease control
Adheres to Center policies and procedures and all applicable requirements and regulations of HHSC, CMS, Texas Administrative Code, CARF, relevant contracts and all other applicable regulatory bodies
Maintains confidentiality regarding consumers, records, personnel, and other sensitive and confidential information in order to comply with Center, state, and federal policy
Conducts all aspects of employment in accordance with Center's Compliance Program
Onboarding of employees to include submission of the position requisition, conducting interviews and completing the hiring process following Human Resource guidelines
Conducts performance evaluations of assigned staff
Schedules assigned staff to participate in mandatory training in order to ensure staff competence and development
Monitors performance of department and assigned staff using established reporting processes and provides feedback and coaching to ensure staff meet all contract, productivity and other performance targets
Manages schedules attendance and punctuality of assigned staff
Supervisor is accessible to assigned staff and they are kept well informed of departmental and center happenings
Supervisor applies the performance improvement (disciplinary) process consistently and in accordance with center policy
Ensure direct reports are aware of and adhere to Center policies & procedures
Observe provision of service by all direct care staff within 30 days prior to completion of any employee evaluation with a minimum of one observed session per year (where applicable)

Required

A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a major in social, behavioral or human services or is a registered nurse
Must have a minimum of 3 years' experience in a community center setting required
BA/BS or RN
Current State of Texas Driver License or if you live in another state, must be currently licensed in that state
Liability insurance required if employee will operate personal vehicle on Center property or for Center business
Must complete all training requirements in month in which they are due
Must submit to and pass a pre-employment drug test
Must successfully pass all background screens as required by the state
Work flexible hours including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed

Preferred

Availability of a personal vehicle for business use may be required
