HR System Consultant - Workday Payroll

Mercy is a healthcare organization seeking an HR System Consultant to provide technical support for HR-specific applications. The role involves enhancing existing systems, implementing new processes, and leading projects, specifically focusing on Workday Payroll configuration.

Responsibilities

Provides technical support and ancillary functional support of Mercy's HR-specific applications
Supports HR partners in enhancement of existing or development and implementation of new systems or processes to support business needs
Actively participates in the evaluation of new applications and validation of system requirements
Assists in development or manages configuration of systems to meet business requirements
Leads projects within team
Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards
Configured Workday Payroll, including earnings, deductions, eligibility rules, override calculations, custom calculations, payroll processing tasks and payroll command center

Required

BS degree required or equivalent experience
Minimum 5 years related experience in one or more of the following areas: HR Systems, Information Technology, HR Operations, HR Shared Services, Information Technology
3+ years of configuration and administration experience in Workday payroll in earnings, deductions, eligibility rules, override calculations, custom calculations, payroll processing tasks and payroll command center
Strong analytical skills
Results-oriented, with a high bias for action and a strong ownership of accountability
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a customer service focus
Robust sense of personal judgment with the capacity to handle confidential information and escalate issues effectively
Ability to act and operate independently with minimal daily direction from leader to accomplish objectives and to meet assigned deadlines
Strong interpersonal skills, with an ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of co-workers and management to maximize performance
Technical/analytical skills, continuous learning, innovation, and strong work standards/ethics is also required

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in human resources, business, finance, information technology or other analytical field strongly preferred
