Inventory Planning Manager
Cure is a venture-backed hydration brand based in New York City, offering a premium hydration solution with a science-backed formula. The Inventory Planning Manager will be responsible for managing supply and demand models, inventory movement, and collaborating with various teams to support business initiatives and provide accurate reporting.
Responsibilities
Manage short and long-term supply and demand models that maintain service level requirements for our customers and meet internal KPIs
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure forecast and demand inputs are up to date and accurate. Translate business forecasts and timelines into an executable demand plan
Present supply and demand recommendations, drive timely decisions, and ensure clear and concise communication to all stakeholders, based on demand planning scenarios, business forecasts and product launches
Communicate and coordinate with Sales, Operations and Marketing teams to discuss planned product promotions in order to produce more accurate forecasts
Manage inventory movement across 3PL warehouses and Amazon FBA distribution centers, proactively submitting inventory transfer requests in partnership with Logistics to prevent stock outs and maintain service levels
Manage weekly and monthly KPI reporting, including in-stock rate, inventory turn, and gross margin
Partner with Finance to ensure inventory on hand and cost of goods sold accounts are accurate for month end financial reporting
Conduct weekly inventory audits across all channels and proactively communicate low inventory and stock risks to internal stakeholders
Collaborate with Finance, Director of Sales and Director of Operations on opportunities to improve margin and profitability
Inventory control support, including validating and tracking inventory by lot code/expiration date and reconciling kit builds / donations / damages / quarantined inventory
Ad-hoc analytical and project support as needed
Partner with R&D and Marketing teams to seamlessly transition projects from new development into production
Manage the new item setup process within GS1, the internal product catalog, suppliers, and 3PLs
Monitor and evaluate SKU-level performance, partnering with the Director of Planning & Procurement on purchase order placement and allocation
Create and place purchase orders with finished good and packaging suppliers. Manage production schedules to ensure on-time production and delivery
Communicate production timelines with cross-functional team members to ensure full team visibility on reorders and product launches
Support with managing longstanding supplier network relationships ensuring partners are shipping on time and in full
Maintain and update internal PO Tracker with up-to-date pricing, shipping locations, ship dates, and payment
Validate and organize production-related documentation, including packing lists, COAs, and invoices
Reconcile and enter vendor finished good and packaging invoices into Quickbooks
Qualification
Required
Minimum 3 years of experience in Supply Chain, preferably forecasting or supply planning
Experience in demand forecasting, inventory optimization and supply planning
Understanding of end-to-end Supply Chain management processes
Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills with ability to present to various levels
Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Docs
Strong record of leadership in a work setting and/or extracurricular activities
You love problem solving and have a data driven approach
Self-driven, Curious, Confident, Optimistic, and Passionate
Quick, reliable and detail-oriented. Nothing slips by you and you stay on top of your tasks
US-based with work authorization to work in the US
Preferred
ERP knowledge is a plus
E-commerce and Start-up experience is a plus
