Responsibilities
Own the design, development, and optimization of enterprise-scale Power BI dashboards and reports used by senior business stakeholders
Build, manage, and performance-tune Microsoft Fabric semantic models that serve as the authoritative source for all reporting and analytics
Develop advanced DAX calculations and Power Query transformations, with a strong focus on scalability, performance, and maintainability
Act as the primary technical partner for business teams, translating complex requirements into well-structured Power BI and Fabric solutions
Drive adoption of self-service analytics by creating governed datasets, reusable report templates, and Power BI best-practice standards
Support and enhance legacy BI solutions (including SSRS) while leading the transition toward a Fabric-first analytics architecture
Ensure data accuracy and trust through rigorous validation, reconciliation against source systems, and user acceptance testing
Serve as the internal subject-matter expert for Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, and modern BI architecture
Qualification
Required
5+ years of experience in Business Intelligence or Analytics, with a strong emphasis on Power BI development
Demonstrated, hands-on experience building and managing Microsoft Fabric semantic models (formerly Power BI datasets)
Expert-level knowledge of DAX, Power Query, and Power BI performance optimization techniques
Strong SQL skills for querying, modeling, and validating complex datasets
Proven ability to work directly with business stakeholders and translate requirements into scalable Power BI / Fabric solutions
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain analytical concepts to non-technical audiences
Experience supporting SSRS or other legacy reporting platforms during modernization efforts
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field
Preferred
Python experience for data analysis or automation
Familiarity with data governance, version control (e.g., Git), and BI asset management
Experience working in Agile environments using tools such as Azure DevOps
