The Senior Accountant plays a crucial role in supporting the finance department's daily, monthly, and annual activities, including complex vendor payment reconciliations and full-cycle accounting functions.

Responsibilities

Complex vendor payment reconciliations, including explanations to outside parties and resolutions

Work with independent contractors to reconcile prepayments, process refunds, and apply payments for services rendered

Assist with month-end closing activities: balance sheet reconciliations and corrections

Full-cycle AP functions: approvals, recording, expense analysis, payment processing, and vendor management

Doctor-related A/P reconciliation and payment issuance based on terms

Review unpaid bills, unapplied credits, and outstanding uncashed checks from prior periods

AP email management: current invoicing, research on past payments, discrepancies, or open invoices

Intra-departmental cross-training and support

Full-cycle A/R: billing, revenue upload, payment application/deposits, collections

Full-cycle A/P: recording credit card expenses & corporate payables, coding & uploads, revenue offsetting payables, and issuing payments

Other duties and special projects, as assigned
