Responsibilities
Responsible for review and processing of waste tire forms, including Waste Tire Generator Notification Forms
Responsible for review and processing of Single Event Cleanup/Government Tire Sweep Forms, Waste Tire Transporter and Transfer Facility Application Forms, and other forms as assigned
Assists with monthly waste tire processor reports
Review of data received from the weekly and monthly reports submitted by the processors, generators, and waste tire dealers that have been entered into the waste tire database
Looks for anomalies that may indicate problems or concerns with the activities in the area of waste tires
Qualification
Required
A bachelor's degree in an environmental, biological, atmospheric, chemical, health, nuclear or physical science field, an engineering field, a geography/geosciences field, a natural resources field, or in a statistics or quantitative methods field plus three years of experience in an environmental program, nuclear energy or radiation protection program; Geographic Information Systems (GIS); an environmental, analytical, or research laboratory, LIMS (Lab Integrated Management Systems), or laboratory auditing
A master's degree in an environmental, biological, atmospheric, chemical, health, nuclear or physical science field, an engineering field, a geography/geosciences field, a natural resources field, or in a statistics or quantitative methods field plus two years of experience in an environmental program, nuclear energy or radiation protection program; Geographic Information Systems (GIS); an environmental, analytical, or research laboratory, LIMS (Lab Integrated Management Systems), or laboratory auditing
A doctorate in an environmental, biological, atmospheric, chemical, health, nuclear or physical science field, an engineering field, a geography/geosciences field, a natural resources field, or in a statistics or quantitative methods field plus one year of experience in an environmental program, nuclear energy or radiation protection program; Geographic Information Systems (GIS); an environmental, analytical, or research laboratory, LIMS (Lab Integrated Management Systems), or laboratory auditing
One year of scientific/technical environmental experience at or above the Environmental Scientist 3 level in regulatory work in waste permitting or waste tire management
