Responsibilities

Oversee and manage all survey operations, including field crews and office production
Lead boundary, topographic, ALTA/NSPS, as-built, and construction layout surveys across diverse projects
Review, approve, and ensure quality of survey drawings, legal descriptions, plats, and CAD deliverables
Coordinate with engineering, geotechnical, and construction teams to ensure alignment between design intent and field execution
Develop project scopes, schedules, and budgets, and monitor performance against those metrics
Provide mentorship and technical guidance to survey staff and promote professional growth within the team
Maintain strong client relationships and contribute to proposals, project pursuits, and new business opportunities
Ensure compliance with field safety, QA/QC, and regulatory standards
Stay current with emerging survey technologies (GPS/GNSS, robotic total stations, LiDAR, UAV mapping) and drive continuous improvement

Required

Bachelor's degree in Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
10+ years of progressive surveying experience, including 3–5 years of supervisory or management experience
Current Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license in Pennsylvania (or ability to obtain via reciprocity)
Expertise with AutoCAD Civil 3D, GPS/GNSS systems, robotic total stations, and survey data processing software
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple crews, projects, and deadlines
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites as required

Preferred

Multi-state PLS licensure (PA, NY, NJ, MD, WV)
Experience with UAV/drone-based surveys, LiDAR processing, and 3D modeling
Proven track record in business development and client engagement
Prior experience in a consulting or A/E/C firm environment
