Responsibilities

Characterization of specific cell populations in the liver, as well as their isolation, and in vitro studies related to the project

Key procedures will include molecular biology applications, the generation/production of vector constructs and their use in cell culture and in vivo studies, immunohistochemical analyses, and microscopy

Responsible for managing experimental animal colonies, performing surgical procedures, and working on tasks involved in the collection and analysis of laser-captured tissue samples

Assisting and supervising research studies, as well as training and supervision of lab members

Presentations of research findings at regularly scheduled internal meetings, as well as national conferences, and any other assignments that the principal investigator may request

Required

Ph.D

Strong background in molecular and stem cell biology

Good analytical and interpersonal skills

Capable of working independently

Experience in liver-related research

At least 3 years of work experience conducting independent experiments

Experience in molecular and cell biology techniques, including RNA, DNA, and protein isolation, PCR, and Western Blot

Preferred

Experience with cell culture

Experience with cell isolation

Experience in immunohistochemistry

Proficiency in animal models, including surgical techniques
