The role involves responsibilities such as journal entries, general ledger analysis, financial reporting, reconciliations, and ensuring compliance with company policies and GAAP.

Responsibilities

Records journal entries and reviews general ledger details

Reconciles accounts to the general ledger

Research discrepancies and corrects errors

Creates, reviews and provides reports

Assists with external audit requests

Reviews transactions for compliance with company policy and GAAP

Works with Accounts Payable to ensure proper coding

Assists with the preparation of budgets

Duties may be general accounting in nature or more specialized and focused, e.g., fixed asset accounting

Perform other such duties as the supervisor may from time to time deem necessary

Required

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field and at least six years of experience or 3 years of Public Accounting experience and a CPA certification

Position requires strong technical accounting skills and understanding of GAAP

Proficient in Microsoft office

Preferred

Oracle, Blackline preferred or other G/L and Banking reconciliation software experience along with an understanding of consolidated financial statements for multiple entities preferred
