Responsibilities

Lead the monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes; consolidate financial statements and report directly to the CFO and the Italian parent company
Monitor P&L performance, focusing on Revenue, Employee Expenses, and G&A
Manage budget preparation and maintain detailed expense analysis to drive pre-closing adjustments
Oversee the procurement process and manage departmental spend vs. budget reporting
Process semi-monthly payroll entries and manage financial records for all employees
Directly manage and mentor a team of three finance professionals (AP, AR, Financial Manager)
Act as the primary financial liaison for Cardinal 3PL, validating chargebacks, approving returns, and reconciling inventory/missing orders
Serve as the Credit Manager, approving new accounts and overseeing AR aging to ensure timely collections
Manage quarterly ASP (Average Sales Price) filings to CMS and lead the annual Sunshine Act reporting process
Monitor and manage state/federal Nexus filings, including Sales & Use tax, Unemployment, and Disability
Serve as the primary point of contact for internal audits from the parent company and for external annual audits
Ensure all corporate and Pharmacy Licenses remain current across all operating states
Oversee the company fleet program, managing vehicle orders and logistics for the sales team
Administer the Concur T&E system, auditing credit card statements, and coordinating with HR for payroll deductions related to personal use
Calculate and prepare quarterly Incentive Compensation (IC) files for executive approval
Manage the financial and logistical aspects of goods imported from Italy, resolving FDA or Customs holds as necessary
Oversee PCI compliance and credit card processing regulations in partnership with IT service providers
Lead financial onboarding for new hires, ensuring access to portals, company cars, and corporate cards

Required

7–10+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a Controller or Accounting Manager role
Experience in Pharmaceuticals or Life Sciences is highly preferred (specifically regarding 3PL, CMS, and Sunshine Act)
Proficiency in Concur and advanced Sage ERP systems, and in the future, SAP HANA
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or MBA is a plus
Strong knowledge of Sales & Use Tax, State Nexus, and international reporting requirements
Proven ability to manage a team and work cross-functionally with Sales, HR, and IT
