The Machine Operator will be responsible for setting up and operating fabrication machines, understanding blueprints, and ensuring quality and safety standards are met.

Responsibilities
Set up and operation of fabrication machines (Brake Press, Lasers, Drills, Saws) in accordance with established standard operating procedures (SOP) and guidelines
Understand blueprints to fabricate parts to blueprint specifications using the appropriate machine and process
Perform designated maintenance functions
Assume ownership for quality
Participate in training
Perform daily 5S activities
Work as a team
Maintain all safety standards
Qualification
Required
Knowledge of basic shop math, ability to read a tap measure and utilize a protractor
Ability to read and comprehend blueprints
Calculate tonnage for punching and sheering
Ability to identify various types and gauges of steel
Ability to operate overhead hoist
Preferred
1,000 hours of trade school
