Responsibilities
Analyze insurance system components, recommend modernization strategies, and implement improvements
Conduct requirement analysis for annuity product changes, and coordinate with application configurator to design and develop insurance products for Aspida
Collaborate with the application vendor to identify required changes and document/design the implementation plan
Analyze data feeds, diagnose the root cause of issues, and resolve problems related to application data
Work closely with application developers and product owners across teams to implement product solutions
Serve as the expert and primary point of contact for production issues impacting your system(s)
Perform defect analysis and propose system enhancements
Maintain high-quality documentation
Assist in functional testing of production systems to answer queries from end users
Create training materials (SOPs) and assist end users with new functionality
Create process flows and for business procedures and assess potential enhancements
Maintain high quality documentation for system updates
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree with major coursework in computer information systems and technologies
6+ years of progressive experience in system and data analysis, and understanding of database and application components, including web services
2+ years of experience with an insurance administrative platform
Experience in translating business requirements into technical solutions
Critical thinking and decision making in uncertainty
Strong verbal and written communications
Strong interpersonal relations, management, and supervisory skills
Strong background in the support of applications used in the insurance domain
Ability to thrive under pressure and manage concurrent and conflicting priorities and deadlines
Organize, prioritize, and track tasks, requests, and projects effectively
Establish, maintain, and foster positive, productive relationships
Preferred
Familiarity with Policy Administration Systems and insurance products—particularly annuities
