General Dynamics Electric Boat is seeking an experienced Industrial Engineer for product development and implementation on various programs. The role involves developing and implementing industrial engineering processes, working with cross-functional teams, and mentoring less experienced members.

Manufacturing

Responsibilities

Develop and implement processes required for Industrial Engineering evaluation of new products to be built

Work with operations on proposed scope and sequence of work to verify work packages reflect the way the work is done

Develop product structure to feed planning required information for quality work package development

Document, evaluate, and improve operations construction sequences

Utilize available tools to estimate cost, schedule, manpower, and develop other recommendations about the manufacturing processes

Capture issues/lessons learned and resolve them to prevent recurrence

Implement portions of the Production System

Mentor/train less experienced group members

Support future state initiatives and support in development of future state road maps

Ability to walk the shop floor to support operations during construction
