Reviewing and processing tax returns, vehicle titles, or other documents and information to verify accuracy and/or correct errors
Processing applications
Assisting taxpayers with payments, returns, applications, and general tax information
Reviewing reports for discrepancies
Purchasing of materials, supplies, and equipment
Performing entry-level clerical accounting functions
Providing support as an administrative assistant
Other tasks as assigned
Qualification
Required
The ability to learn the complexities of tax administration as indicated by the task, by making wise, informed decisions and correctly executing tax policies and procedures, which promote taxpayer compliance and tax revenue collection in accordance with the State's tax statutes
Be proficient in using Microsoft Word, Excel, and other computer software
Ability to communicate with taxpayers and tax professionals in verbal and written form
Ability to multitask and manage assigned tasks
Preferred
Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree or High School Diploma or high school equivalency and 4 years of experience
