Responsibilities

Maintaining detailed electronic case files
Managing trial deadlines
Coordinating litigation-related meetings, hearings, and depositions
Contacting clients at minimum every 20 days to give case updates
Meeting with clients to obtain discover responses and conduct deposition preparation
Contacting third parties such as medical providers and insurance companies on behalf of the client
Ensuring that all matters assigned are handled as quickly, accurately, and thoughtfully as possible from sign up through disbursal
Following the Litify Matter Plan for each matter assigned and completing each task timely, accurately, and completely
Ensuring all data is properly and accurately entered into Litify
Organizing, saving, and filing all matter related documents
Drafting, saving, mailing, faxing, and/or emailing correspondence and supporting documents
Assisting with the preparation, filing, and service of pleadings
Assisting with discovery, including but not limited to, the preparation and completion of written discovery and scheduling of depositions
Assisting with trial preparation, including the assembly of exhibits, witness binders, and appendices for depositions and court filings
Keeping track of cases expenses, including copy and postage charges, entering into Litify for each client
Providing handling attorney support as requested and as outlined in Litify Tasks
Timely response and completion of tasks assigned by handling attorney
Timely completion of all Litify Matter Plan tasks

Required

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Willingness to perform any/all tasks as assigned by supervisor and/or firm leadership in support of the firm's growth and success
Proficient in data entry and management
Previous experience within legal, medical, or insurance industry
Strong computer and keyboarding experience
Trial experience is highly preferred

Preferred

College degree preferred
Previous legal assistant or paralegal experience preferred
