They are seeking a Senior Transportation Engineer & Office Lead to oversee a team in delivering high-quality transportation and utility projects, while providing mentorship and technical guidance.

Responsibilities

Lead the preparation of transportation design plans and 3D models for local agency and municipal utility projects
Perform and review design calculations to ensure accuracy and compliance
Prepare design packages for milestone client submittals, including estimates, special provisions, and RID packages
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team
Support MDOT projects as needed, applying similar expertise and leadership
Oversee and manage a team of seven designers, ensuring successful project delivery and professional development

Required

Bachelor's degree in civil engineering
12-15 years' experience working with MDOT transportation and Local Agency
Michigan PE with the ability to become registered in other states
Knowledge of OpenRoads ORD design software is required
Experience working as a PM
Desire and ability to manage a team
