Responsibilities
Contribute to the Fluent AI React library by building new components and improving existing patterns for Copilot experiences. Work closely with design and product teams to deliver production‑ready code that meets high standards for performance, accessibility, and reliability while addressing real business needs
Build relationships with partner teams across M365 to understand their needs and challenges. Work directly in product code to help teams adopt Fluent AI components, troubleshoot issues, and identify opportunities to improve our library to further ease adoption or meet customer needs
Explore creative ways to leverage AI in your work. Use AI tools and techniques to solve problems more effectively, accelerate development, and empower fellow engineers. Stay curious about emerging capabilities and share discoveries that help the team work smarter

Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with technologies including, but not limited to, JavaScript, TypeScript, React, and building shared libraries and/or component systems OR equivalent experience
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role
Preferred
Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 3+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 5+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python - OR equivalent experience
3+ years of experience with React and TypeScript in production applications
3+ years of experience building and maintaining shared libraries or component systems
3+ years experience with web accessibility standards (WCAG, ARIA) and building accessible components
3+ years experience with the full component lifecycle: from initial research to product deployment
