The Senior Process Design Engineer will develop and optimize process designs for membrane treatment equipment, ensuring compliance with client specifications and regulatory standards while supporting manufacturing and commissioning activities.

Responsibilities

Develop process flow diagrams (PFDs) and piping & instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) for custom-designed membrane treatment systems

Design and size RO/NF and UF/MF systems along with potential ancillary equipment

Prepare detailed process calculations, including flow, pressure, chemical dosing, and membrane performance

Support project estimators by reviewing technical offers and design basis documents

Provide process input for cost estimation, bill of materials, and project scheduling

Perform process simulations and modeling using tools such as manufacturer’s proprietary design software or in-house calculation tools

Collaborate with mechanical and electrical engineers to ensure correct integration of process, instrumentation, and control systems

Review and approve vendor and subcontractor technical documentation

Support factory acceptance testing (FAT), site acceptance testing (SAT), commissioning, and troubleshooting of systems

Ensure all process designs comply with client specifications, applicable codes (AWWA, ASTM, ISO), and environmental regulations
