Responsibilities
Set up, operate, and optimize CNC milling and/or turning centers
Independently interpret blueprints, GD&T, and job travelers
Edit and modify G-code programs at the machine and via CAD/CAM
Work with Fanuc, Fadal, and/or Yasnac controls
Select tooling, fixtures, and machining strategies to meet part specifications
Perform first-article and in-process inspections using precision measuring tools
Maintain tight tolerances and ensure product conformity
Troubleshoot machining issues and improve cycle times
Build or modify fixtures as needed
Perform routine machine maintenance
Support workflow efficiency and mentor junior machinists
Maintain accurate documentation and statistical reporting
Deburr, clean, and finish parts as required
Qualification
Required
5–10+ years of CNC machining experience (Level III)
Strong experience with CNC setup, program editing, and optimization
Proficient with G-code, offsets, cutter compensation, and program adjustments
Solid blueprint reading and inspection skills
Experience machining materials such as: Stainless Steel, Inconel, Titanium, Aluminum, Engineering plastics
Familiar with inspection tools (micrometers, calipers, height/depth gauges)
Strong math and mechanical aptitude
Ability to lift up to 75 lbs
High School Diploma or GED required
Preferred
CAD/CAM experience (Mastercam or similar)
Experience mentoring or guiding junior machinists
Fixture design or build experience
