Responsibilities
Define and maintain enterprise architecture standards and reference architectures
Govern solution design reviews, ensuring scalability, security, and maintainability
Lead and mentor engineering team to deliver high-quality, resilient solutions
Drive engineering best practices including DevOps, CI/CD, cloud-native development, test automation, AI enablement and establish measurable engineering KPIs
Lead by doing: design, develop & review performant, secure code using modern tech stacks
Oversee emerging technologies and tool evaluations for architectural and business fit
Chair the Architecture Review Board (ARB) and technology governance forums
Partner with data scientists and product teams to operationalize AI models
Ensure compliance with data privacy, cybersecurity, and regulatory requirements (GDPR, SOC2, etc.)
Collaborate with external partners to ensure technical feasibility and optimized delivery
Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement
Balance innovation and execution, with a strong bias for measurable business outcomes
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field
10+ years of experience in software engineering, with 5+ years in architectural leadership
Experience in delivering scalable direct-to-consumer insurance platforms and AI-driven personalization systems
Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS/Azure), container orchestration, microservices, APIs, event-driven systems and serverless architectures
Hands-on understanding of CI/CD, DevSecOps, and Infrastructure-as-Code practices (Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, GitLab)
Practical experience with AI/ML pipelines, data engineering, and MLOps frameworks
Excellent leadership, collaboration, stakeholder management and communication skills
Experience working in agile, product-centric organizations
Expertise in technologies like Next.js, Vercel, React, Python, Prismic, GitLab, Headless CMS, Auth0, Redis, AWS Services (SNS, SQS, Data Pipeline, EC2, Lambda, EBS, S3, CloudFront, Route53, ELB, KMS, CloudTrail, API Gateway), Snowflake, and more
Preferred
Background in Insurtech, FinTech, or regulated financial services preferred
Certifications such as TOGAF, AWS Certified Architect, or Azure Solutions Architect or AI/ML Specializations are advantageous
