Aerospace Service Business Leader- Repair

Responsibilities
Set and execute the site repair strategy, aligned to growth, capacity, and productivity targets
Own the operating plan and P&L for the repair business, ensuring revenue, margin, cash, and cost commitments are met
Develop and manage the site roadmap for throughput, capacity, footprint, technology adoption, digitization, and workforce skills
Lead a zero-harm safety culture; ensure compliance with EHS policies and applicable regulations
Ensure product quality and regulatory compliance; partner with Quality to maintain certifications (e.g., FAA, EASA, AS9100) and robust QMS
Drive delivery performance (TAT, OTD) through standard work, production control, and constraint management
Improve unit cost and cash through lean, productivity projects, material optimization, and repair yield improvement
Lead daily, weekly, and monthly operating rhythms with clear KPIs, tiered accountability, visual management, and problem-solving
Champion continuous improvement (lean/kaizen), standard work, and stability; deploy shop-floor improvements to eliminate waste and variability
Partner with Engineering on repair development, special processes, routings, and NCR/turnbacks; accelerate dispositions and reduce rework
Optimize planning and scheduling; align capacity, staffing, and equipment resources to customer demand
Serve as primary business leader with key customers; ensure responsiveness, communication, and high NPS/CSAT
Collaborate with Commercial/Contracts on demand planning, pricing levers, shop visit forecasting, and contract performance
Escalate and resolve critical customer issues, escapes, and concessions with urgency and transparency
Ensure reliable material availability; reduce shortages and expedite costs via SIOP, supplier performance management, and inventory health
Drive repair source strategy, insourcing/outsourcing decisions, and supplier corrective action for quality and delivery
Build and lead a high-performing team; attract, develop, and retain diverse talent across operations, engineering, quality, and support functions
Establish clear goals and development plans; foster inclusion, engagement, and recognition
Model integrity, accountability, and collaboration across shifts and functions
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations, Business, Supply Chain, or related field (or high school diploma/GED with a minimum of 10 years in a manufacturing/repair leadership role
A minimum of 8 years of experience in MRO, or complex regulated manufacturing/repair environment
A minimum of 5 years of experience leading teams
This position requires U.S. citizenship status
Ability and willingness to travel up to 20% for customer, supplier, and network site engagements based on business needs
This position requires onsite work at the Vandalia, OH facility Monday-Friday
Preferred
Master's degree (MBA or technical)
Experience in Aerospace, MRO, or complex regulated manufacturing/repair, including extensive experience leading teams
Proven P&L or site/business ownership experience with strong financial acumen
Demonstrated success improving SQDC metrics in a high-mix, variable-demand environment
Working knowledge of quality systems and regulatory requirements (e.g., FAA Part 145, EASA, AS9100)
Experience with lean/continuous improvement, production control, and materials management
Strong stakeholder management, communication, and change leadership skills
Experience leading an FAA- or EASA-certified repair station or equivalent quality-regulated site
Formal lean certification; experience deploying daily management systems and problem-solving methodologies
Background in component/engine repair development, special processes, and NDT
Experience with SIOP, capacity modeling, and digital operations tools (MES/ERP)
