Hand-finish intricate metal castings
Build and modify patterns, core boxes, and permanent molds
Solve dimensional challenges that aren’t always spelled out on prints
Set up and run conventional and CNC machines
Program toolpaths using SolidWorks and Mastercam
Do detailed bench work like fitting, scraping, and polishing
Inspect your own work
Account for draft and shrinkage
Keep equipment running through basic TPM activities
Qualification
Required
4+ years of journeyman-level metal pattern making experience or a journeyman license
CNC setup, programming, and operation experience
SolidWorks and Mastercam experience
High school diploma or GED
