ENTRY LEVEL CIVIL ENGINEER

Responsibilities
Assist with civil engineering design tasks for residential, commercial, and industrial site development projects, including grading, drainage, roadway layouts, and utility systems, under the guidance of senior engineers
Prepare and revise engineering drawings, exhibits, and construction documents using AutoCAD and Civil 3D in accordance with established standards and project requirements
Support site feasibility studies and conceptual planning efforts by assisting with data collection, basic analyses, and development of preliminary site layouts
Perform basic engineering calculations related to stormwater management, water, wastewater, and utility design, and assist with preparation of supporting documentation for permitting and construction
Contribute to sustainable design efforts by assisting with green infrastructure, low-impact development (LID), and stormwater quality measures as directed by project leadership
Provide support during construction phases by assisting with review of submittals and RFIs, attending site visits, and documenting field observations under supervision
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—including environmental, planning, surveying, and structural staff—to support integrated project delivery
Organize and maintain project files, calculations, and documentation in accordance with company quality control procedures
Execute work in accordance with internal quality procedures, applicable codes, legislation, and industry standards to ensure project compliance and technical excellence
Actively pursue continuous learning opportunities to maintain a high degree of technical knowledge and professional competency in structural engineering
Promote and maintain a culture of safety by working in a safe manner at all times and promptly reporting all health and safety incidents or concerns
Perform additional tasks as required to support project goals, team objectives, and company initiatives
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in civil engineering with 0-3 years of experience
Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
Desire to learn new design software programs
Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment
Can meet quality standards and deadlines
Active and clear driver's license, including a successful clearance of a Motor Vehicle history check
Preferred
Familiarity with ArcGIS, HydroCAD, StormCAD, and/or Storm and Sanitary Analysis
Engineer-in-Training (EIT) Certificate
