Responsibilities
Lead the engineering strategy, design, and implementation of enterprise PKI and digital certificate services
Oversee full certificate lifecycle management supporting TLS/SSL, code signing, user and device authentication, and email encryption
Act as the technical authority and product owner for PKI platforms, vendor tools, and underlying infrastructure
Manage and mentor a team of PKI and security engineers, aligning workloads, performance goals, and career development
Drive delivery of complex security initiatives by partnering with business leaders, architects, and IT operations teams
Ensure solutions meet security, compliance, availability, and scalability requirements across global environments
Maintain and enhance existing PKI services through upgrades, automation, troubleshooting, and incident resolution
Define and execute testing, validation, release planning, and production readiness for PKI deployments
Develop and maintain technical documentation, standards, and operational procedures
Ensure PKI services align with enterprise security policies, industry best practices, and emerging threat landscapes
Qualification
Required
Deep expertise in Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) and cryptographic services
Hands-on experience with certificate management platforms (e.g., Venafi, KeyFactor, CyberArk)
Strong experience with Hardware Security Modules (HSMs) such as SafeNet or nCipher
Proven experience with code signing, TLS/SSL, and enterprise authentication use cases
Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and working knowledge of REST APIs
Experience designing PKI solutions in cloud environments (Azure and/or AWS)
Solid understanding of IT security principles, encryption standards, and secure system design
Demonstrated ability to lead engineering teams and manage technical delivery at scale
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for collaboration with global stakeholders
Ability to balance strategic vision with hands-on technical execution
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Information Systems, or a related field
12+ years of overall IT experience
8+ years in Information Security roles
6+ years of hands-on PKI engineering experience
